The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Brunei invites applications for the Brunei Government Scholarship to Foreign Students Tenable in Brunei Darussalam for the academic session 2023/2024.

The scholarship provides applicants with the opportunity to pursue studies at the diploma, bachelor's and master's postgraduate level at the following institutions of higher education in Brunei:

Universiti Brunei Darussalam (UBD),

Universiti Islam Sultan Sharif Ali Sultan (UNISSA),

Universiti Teknologi Brunei (UTB),

Kolej Universiti Perguruan Perguruan Ugama Seri Begawan (KUPU SB) and

Politeknik Brunei (PB).


The scholar will be provided with the benefits of government scholarships as follows:

tuition fee waiver, including acceptance, examination, registration and orientation fees for the duration of the program;

an economy-class airline ticket to Brunei Darussalam from the scholarship recipient's home country/country of domicile prior to the start of the course and an economy-class airline ticket from Brunei Darussalam to the scholarship recipient's home country/country of domicile at the end of the course;

a monthly personal allowance of BND $500.00;

a monthly meal allowance of BND $150.00;

an annual book allowance of BND $600.00;

4. China

Shanghai Government Scholarship

The Shanghai Municipal Government Scholarship was established in 2006 with the aim of enhancing the development of international students' education in Shanghai and encouraging more and more outstanding international students and scholars to ECNU.

The Shanghai Government Scholarship is for international students applying for the undergraduate, graduate or doctoral program at East China Normal University. Applicants of the undergraduate program with HSK-3 level or above but without a qualified level can apply for a one-year pre-university program to study Chinese with the sponsorship of a full scholarship. If the applicant still cannot reach the qualified HSK level after the pre-university program, the applicant will graduate as a language student.

Scholarship Coverage

1) Type A (Full Scholarship)

Waive tuition and on-campus accommodation; provide full medical insurance and monthly living expenses (Doctoral Program: CNY3500; Graduate Program: CNY3000; Undergraduate Program: CNY2500)

Romanian Government Scholarships through the MFA (Ministry of Foreign Affairs)

Every year, the Romanian Government, through the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, awards a number of scholarships to citizens of non-EU countries. Only candidates with good results in education, respectively an average of the years of study, for the last graduated school, of at least 7 (seven) corresponding to the Romanian scoring system or the "Good" score, as the case may be, are eligible.

exemption from the payment of registration fees or any other fees required for the processing of the application, the Romanian language proficiency tests, the completion of the competitive examination for admission to doctoral studies and the specific aptitude tests;

to finance the tuition fees for the preparatory year of the Romanian language;

financing the tuition fees for ongoing studies, but not exceeding the duration of a university cycle, corresponding to the study program followed;

granting a monthly scholarship to students enrolled in the preparatory year of the Romanian language;

granting a monthly scholarship for students enrolled in bachelor's, master's or doctoral studies, but not exceeding the duration of a university cycle;

to finance the costs of accommodation in student residences, within the allocated subsidy granted from the budget of the Ministry of Education;

medical assistance in case of medical-surgical emergencies and diseases with endemic-epidemic potential, in accordance with the legislation in force;

local, land, sea and subway public transport, as well as internal car, rail and sea transport, under the same conditions offered to Romanian students, in accordance with the legal provisions.

Government of Ireland - International Education Scholarships 2023 (GOI-IES)

The Higher Education Authority (HEA) is pleased to issue the Call for Applications 2023 under the Government of Ireland International Education Scholarships Program. Under the initiative, 60 government scholarships for one-year study at Master's or PhD level will be awarded to successful candidates who have an offer of a place in an eligible Irish higher education institution.

The offer is open to students from non-EU/EEA countries and is applicable to all fields of study.
